Her Name is Kay
Universal Music artist Kay released her single “My Name is Kay” to strong rotation on Top 40 radio this summer. Her upcoming album is produced by Ryan Tedder of One Republic and Evan Bogart (Britney, Beyonce, Adam Lambert.) Don’t miss her upcoming concert on Dec 23rd at the Pacific Coliseum with LMFAO and Far East Movement.
Matt White
While he was in Vancouver to open for Sheryl Crow, singer/songwriter Matt White dropped by SWVS for a touch-up lesson with Spencer.
Matt’s “Songs of Freedom” was recently featured on the Oprah Winfrey show.
Brian Doerksen Wins Juno Award
Brian Doerksen’s latest album Holy God won the Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. Brian is one the premier Christian worship leaders and songwriters in the world. Congratulations, Brian!
Hedley Wins 4 MMVAs
Congratulations to Canadian rock band Hedley for winning four MMVAs at the 2008 Music Music Video Awards! Hedley’s drummer/background vocalist Chris Crippen studies at the Spencer Welch Vocal Studio.

Tiffany Desrosiers' Career Taking Off
SWVS client Tiffany Desrosiers has just inked a new management deal and is currently in the studio with celebrated producer Damon Elliot (Pink, Beyonce, Jessica Simpson.)
She has been invited to perform at the Seth Riggs SVP Showcase on July 26th, sharing the stage with Terry Ellis of En Vogue and Bobby Kimball of Toto.
Holly Dignard in CTV's Whistler
Holly Dignard is one of the stars of the hit TV series “Whistler”, airing Saturday nights on CTV. Season 2 is currently in production for Fall 2007.
Tara Lett and Omar Khan on Canadian Idol

Liesa Norman in Stores June 12th
SWVS client Liesa Norman has signed to Universal Music Group. Her debut album is in stores now. She also opened for Chantal Kreviazuk in June.

Destino Signed To Shoreline Universal
Destino is popera (pop fused with opera) with a soul infusion.
The four celebrated tenors, who have varied musical backgrounds including opera, gospel, R&B, soul, jazz, musical theater and pop, were pursuing successful solo careers – from singing at Carnegie Hall and for the Pope to a #1 radio single.
