Spencer Welch Vocal Studio (SWVS) was founded in 1997 with the purpose of providing top-level vocal instruction to the local Vancouver music community and has since grown to include students from all over the world.

Spencer is a Level 5 Master Instructor of the Speech Level Singing™ (SLS) technique and one of the premier vocal coaches in North America, often called upon to prepare recording artists and actors for studio, concert, theatre and film work. He also trains and certifies SLS instructors world-wide.

It may be overkill for some aspiring singers to study with Spencer Welch. A less-experienced singer will receive all the education they need at a lower cost if they study with an SWVS associate teacher. Associate teachers do not have the same level of certification and experience as Spencer, but they still conform to the highest standards: they must be strong vocalists, passionate educators, and live up to rigorous education and testing standards every year within the Speech Level Singing™ organization.
